Ambitious Enterprises presents At the Wrecking Ball V, an evening of short works by local and international dance artists. All eight works on the program combine dance with another discipline; live music and vocals, original score, visual projection, storytelling, interactive set design and aerial work are combined with dance to produce an unforgettable evening of original, cutting edge dance.
Ambitious Enterprises was formed by successful Toronto-based dance artists Tina Fushell and Kate Franklin to produce and promote the work of emerging dance artists. For the first time, this fifth installment of their acclaimed At theWrecking Ball Series will showcase artists at all stages of their careers. On the program this year are bright stars of the local art scene Leslie-Ann Glen (Pollux Dance), Kate Holden and Joshua Van Tassel, Julia Male and Zazu Myers, Jacob Niedzwiecki, Michelle Silagy and Jennifer Lynn Dick (The Identity Project), as well as new work by the artistic directors of Ambitious Enterprises. Featured in the pre-show is a new work by Brendan Jensen.
